About the CC40100:
The CC40100 is a series of ten quad-voltage locomotives operated by SNCF, built by Alsthom/MTE. They are intended for the traction of international trains to countries neighbouring France, such as Benelux or Germany. They were delivered in two sub-series from 1964 to 1970.
Visually, they introduced a completely new body design called "Broken nose". The inclined windscreen allows the driver to avoid sun glare. They originally had corner windscreens, later removed as part of nose reinforcement.
Technically, the class of locomotive is considered as prototype, with each unit having different technical specifications. The most notable differences are the traction motors between CC40101 to 40104 and CC40105 to 40110.
Equipped with 4 pantographs, each initially dedicated to capturing one of the main European electrification currents:
• 1.5 kV DC for France and the Netherlands
• 25 kV AC for France and Luxembourg
• 15 kV 16 2/3 Hz AC for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
• 3000 V DC for Italy and Belgium
Caution, this pack is not compatible with Train Simulator Classic 32 Bits. Please use Train Simulator Classic 64 Bits.
